The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is Africa’s only IAAF GOLD Label Status Marathon. It showcases our beautiful City, its heritage and the “gees” of the people of Cape Town.
This event is brought to you as a joint partnership between Western Province Athletics, ASEM Running and the City of Cape Town. Brand Ambassadors include Francois Pienaar and Elana van Zyl – Meyer.
Elite athletes can enjoy the chance to post a fast marathon time and the six and a half hour cut-off allows novice runners and walkers the opportunity to complete their first 42.2km race. The Marathon event takes place on Saturday the 16th October 2021.
